Youth/Teen
All high school youth and conformandi are invited to join the Holy Spirit Youth/Teen Program. We enjoy retreats, Christian concerts, and representing out parish in many diocesan activities. Come and experience our awesome faith in the company of other high school youth!
The junior high youth group from Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield
volunteered at the State Street Center in Hammond during the holidays. “Holy
Spirit Jr. High has been privileged to do this for the last 3 years on selected
Saturdays,” said Mickey Manoski, Director of Faith Formation for Holy Spirit
Catholic Church. “The students prepared a chili lunch for the guests along with
holiday trimmings. After the lunch, the students sang Christmas carols with and
for the guests.”
The State Street Center is a refuge for homeless people to go to during the day.
Visitors can receive a hot meal, look for job postings, read, watch TV and do
any business. Various churches in the area provide lunches for the guests.

Anthony Aguirre, Alex Aloia, Lucas Anderson, Benjamin Baumeister, Nicole Bender,
Rebeca Cierniak, Cassie Firchau, Christina Gunia, Kyle Hernandez, Carl Jones,

Rybak, Mark Sinclair, Brandon Tomko and Jill VanderPol.

As a student, parent or volunteer of the Holy Spirit Jr. High Youth Group, you
are invited to join the new Yahoo Group I've established for our community. The
group will allow us to communicate about upcoming meetings and events and
provide us with a forum for discussing the development of our youth group, its
activities...and our faith!
