Stewardship Committee

A Christian steward is one who receives God’s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible manner, shares them in justice and love with others and returns them with increase to the Lord.

Stewardship is a way of life that invites generosity not merely because of the many needs that we see all about us, but because of our deep personal spiritual yearning to use the things that we have been given properly. To be a steward means that we recognize that what we have – time, talent, and treasure –belongs to God and we are simply caretakers of these precious gifts.
Holy Spirit is a Stewardship parish. All parish activities focus on the sharing of God’s gifts to each one of us.

A good Steward shares their Time by:

	Attending liturgy.
	Participating in the parish mission.
	Attending bible study.
	Experiencing a Christ Renews His Parish Retreat.
	Praying for the intentions of our fellow parishioners.

A good steward shares their Talent by:

	Working with children, teenagers, young mothers, or the elderly.
	Assisting in planning parish liturgies or singing in the choir.
	Helping in the church office.
	Addressing issues with poverty, racism, or issues of injustice.
	Planning social events or providing hospitality.
	Maintaining the church facilities through your green thumb, or perhaps your experience with carpentry and repairs.

A good steward shares their Treasure by:

	Donating food and furniture to St. Vincent de Paul.
	Supporting the ministry of our parish through our weekly offering.
	Assisting with retiring our parish mortgage through monthly contribution to the Mortgage Fund.
	Giving generously to special collections.
