Holy Spirit Welcomes Ray
Nedohon as New Jr. High Youth Group Director
Holy Spirit Catholic Church recently announced that Ray Nedohon has been
named as the new Junior High Youth Group Leader. “I've continually had the idea
reinforced that one person can truly make a profound difference in the lives of
others,” said Nedohon. The concept of "giving something back" has significantly
impacted the direction of my life from a very young age. I am excited about
having the opportunity to share this with the young people of our faith
community. My goal for the junior high youth group is for them to have fun and
make a difference; a difference in their own lives and the lives of others.”
Ray is currently the Executive Director of The Metro Foundation, a nonprofit
organization in Hinsdale, IL. Since 1995, Ray has also worked for a number of
national and local nonprofits including City of Hope Cancer Center and
Jumpstart, and has additionally served in volunteer leadership roles with
organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation,
and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Chicago (YNPN Chicago).
Ray graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Social Work from The Catholic
University of America in Washington, DC and is originally from New York. He
moved from downtown Chicago to Lakes of the Four Seasons in October of 2006.
