Hispanic Ministry
This ministry calls all those who are dedicated to improving the cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic culture and traditions. It aims to help Hispanics integrate into our church community and thereby enrich our Holy Spirit community. It also helps the Anglo community understand and participate in the richness of the Hispanic traditions.
Special celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Posadas are events that occur in December. An enactment of the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Juan Diego is a highlight of the Mass for Our Lady of Guadalupe. A live donkey is featured in the Posadas celebration, which commemorates the journey of Joseph and Mary to find a place in Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus.
Other outreach efforts for those in need are also a part of this ministry.
