Confirmation
Will you come and follow me if I but call your name?
There are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit we are given at Baptism through
God’s grace.
1. Wisdom 2. Understanding 3. Knowledge 4. Courage 5. Right Judgment 6.
Reverence 7. Wonder and Awe
Galatians 5: 22 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, control
Confirmation is usually celebrated in eighth grade and is an opportunity for
candidates to deepen their understanding of their Catholic faith and the mission
of Christ.
The Confirmation interview, service hours, workshop and retreat are only PART of
the requirements to celebrate this sacrament of initiation. Monthly Generations
of Faith attendance from September thru April (8 sessions) and weekly Mass
attendance is vital to ensure their commitment to prioritize their faith first.
Attendance at ALL sessions, September thru April, of Generations of Faith is
required.
Interview
information and retreat information will be mailed out to registered families
when the schedule is completed. Confirmation will be on Saturday May 31, 2008 at
the 4 PM Mass.
