Chili Cook-off 2nd Place Recipe

Hot Pot Chili


Ingredients:
1 lb Ground sirloin
1 lb Chorizo (Mexican pork sausage)
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 bunch of cilantro (chopped)
2 lg (50oz) cans of pinto beans
1-3 Jalapeno Peppers (optional)
Seasonings: Garlic, Adobo, Salt, Pepper

Directions:
In a large pot, brown together ground sirloin, chorizo, and onion. Pour in both cans of beans, then one can of water. Stir in seasoning, cilantro, and jalapeno peppers. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for at least one hour. Serve with chopped avocado, sour cream, raw onion, and tortilla chips. * try different things - whatever you like.
