THE Pudding Dessert


Ingredients:
1 1/2 sticks of margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups flour
2 pkg instant lemon pudding
3 cups milk
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
12 oz container of cool whip
1 c powdered sugar

Directions:
Mix the flour and margarine together until soft dough forms. Crumble into a 9 x 13 pan and then press to create a flat crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool. Mix the cream cheese, 1/2 the cool whip, and the powdered sugar together until well blended. Spread on crust.

Mix the pudding mixes and 3 cups milk. Pour over the cream cheese layer.

Once the pudding layer is set, top with remaining cool whip.

Although the recipe is good with most pudding flavors, it tastes best with the lemon, as it's a nice blend between the sweetness of the cream cheese layer, the flakiness of the crust, and the tartness of the pudding. Submitted in memory of Diane Baker.
