Recipe of the Month
January 2007 B W Broccoli & Shrimp Pasta Ingredients: 7 1/2 c Med Broccoli Flowerets 1 lb 16/20 ct. Raw Shrimp 2 c Mostaccioli (uncooked) 1/4 t of each spice (Poultry Seasoning, Coriander, Marjoram, Ground Thyme, Rosemary, Italian Seasoning, Chinese Five Spice) 1/2 t Lawry's Seasoned Salt 9 Cloves Garlic (Minced or through press) 1/4 c + 1 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1/4 c dry sherry 5T water more or less for a little steam Directions: In a large frying pan lightly sauté shrimp in garlic butter, set aside. In a elec. frying pan add oil, garlic, spices, broccoli and water. Set to 250 degrees. Do not turn on yet. Meanwhile cook mostaccioli in boiling water for 11 min. After 4 min. have passed turn on the frying pan with top on and vent open. Stir occasionally for 7 min. Now add shrimp and Sherry to the broccoli mixture. Stir to mix. Drain pasta, serve on top of mixture. Serve from frying pan. P.S. sliced mushrooms may be added if wanted.
