Recipe of the Month
July 2006 Lake County Fair Strawberry Pie Ingredients: 1-6oz pkg. strawberry Jell-O 1 cup of sugar 4 T. cornstarch 2 cups of boiling water 1 quart of frozen or fresh strawberries 1 10-inch baked already pie crust Directions: Sift the first three ingredients into a large pot. Bring mixture to a rolling boil. Add frozen berries to a hot sauce but add fresh strawberries to a cooled sauce. Place in an already baked 10-inch baked pie crust. Top with whipped cream.
