Recipe of the Month
April 2006 Cheese Slices Ingredients: 1/3 C. butter 1/2 C. sugar 1 egg 1 C. flour a few drop of milk to make dough like cookie dough Great 9 x 13 pan & pat dough in. Cheese Filling 1/4# butter 1# dry cottage cheese 4 eggs separated 3/4 C. sugar 2 T. flour 1 t. lemon extract 1 C. Milnot Directions: Put cheese through sieve. Cream butter, add cheese, sugar, egg yolks, flour, lemon extract and Milnot. Mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour over cookie dough. Bake one hour or until knife comes out clean in 350 deg. oven. To make a 10 x 15 pan (cookie sheet) I double the filling. I use 2 cartons of cheese, 1/2# butter, 6 eggs, almost 1-1/2 C. sugar, 3 T. flour, 1-1/2 t. lemon extract, whole can of Milnot. Chef - Patricia J.
